4 and 5 months...

My how the time flies!! Let me start by saying: I am a bad mom! Well...only when it comes to documenting the growth of my beautiful daughter. Now that shes a little over a week away from turning 6 months...I figured I ought to try and catch up.
So here is Parkers 4 month stats ( from 10/13/09):
-14 lbs, 12 oz (71%)
-26" long (95%)...believe me when I saw she is stinkin' TALL.
- 16 1/2" head circumference

She started rice cereal about a week after she turned 4 months- only because she was sleeping perfectly(7-8 hours)...and then all of a sudden she tanked, and started waking up every 3 hours- and she was STARVED. So..we started her on solids.

Now that she's almost 6 months old, she's tasted squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, and peas. She LOVES the squash. Its funny- just in the past few days shes really started to understand that the solid foods have a DIFFERENT taste- and she gets very excited.

When she first tried bananas, she gagged and dry heaved- but now she pumps her arms and legs when she sees me opening it.

Also, at the beginning of this week- she has started sitting up on her own. She still falls over, but as long as shes concentrating, she'll stay up for quite some time. But she's such a happy little girl, she gets excited by A LOT...like the cat walking by, the dogs barking, seeing my cell phone, etc.

A funny story from the past few months...
She loves to sit on Bevan's lap and watch him play computer games. Before she started becoming very mobile ( ahh, the good ol' days), it was never a big deal. She would just watch, and get excited, and spend time with her daddy. Well now, she tries to copy Bevan, and wants to pound on the keyboard. The first key she learned was the "windows" key...which immediately closes down Bevan's game. She loves that key.
I also got her to laugh 20 minutes straight simply by kissing on doomsday.

McKlin returns

Bevan's middle brother, McKlin, aka Mickey, returned on October 27th from a two year mission in the Roseville California area.

We all met at the airport around noon to await Mickeys arrival. Bevan's brother, Stanton- who is in the Navy, was also able to make the homecoming. It's seriously been 3 years since all of Bevan's siblings have been together.

THE BIG ARRIVAL...

After the homecoming, we all went back to Bevan's moms house for a delicious lunch.

And what post would be complete without pictures of my beautiful baby..

Updates coming...
